Wood Stitches and Embroidery with Semi-Precious Stones

We wanted to bring the texture of wood as close to the fabric as possible. Thus, the texture of tree bark is created through stitching across the fabric, while the semi-precious stone embroidery runs with the grain, and transforms the surface into relief: quartz and hematite, with its industrial, metallic presence. They enrich the contours and add another layer of detail to the coexistence between the industrial and natural.
Everything is applied by hand, with care, so that every stone and every stitch finds its rightful place.
The red thread symbolizes our blood… a reminder of our humanity.

• 100% Cotton (traditional Romanian cotton gauze “pânză topită”, undyed, in its natural state)
